The Illiteracy and Poverty Alleviation Assistance
Organization (IPAO) plants a plethora of trees all over the year. On this
planet, trees are our best friends. To survive here, we receive oxygen from
trees. If there were no trees, our existence would be made difficult and the
ecosystem would be ruined. Tree planting is an essential measure aimed at
keeping ecological balance and dealing with climate change in mind. Trees take
in carbon dioxide, give off oxygen and help mitigate the greenhouse effect which
are important for the health of the planet that we inhabit. Apart from
environmental benefits, tree planting supports biodiversity through various
habitats for diverse species of wildlife. It also helps conserve soil, curbs
erosion as well as improves the purity of water through pollutant filtration.
Moreover, trees have economic advantages ranging from timber or non-timber
sources to beautifying landscapes and enhancing life value.
